Remembering - Parkview Church

Pastor Jon Huxtable

March 13, 1952 – July 27, 2024

Rev. Jon Huxtable came to Parkview Church in September 1991. He pastored the church for almost 33 years until God told him that his work on earth was done. The church’s Compassion Ministries program was launched under his leadership. He also oversaw the church move from Brucedale and East 9th Street to West 5th Street along with the renaming of the church from Centremount Alliance Church to Parkview Church.

On July 27, 2024, after a sudden infection that rapidly overwhelmed his hardworking body, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jon Huxtable, peacefully went to be with the Lord. He will be lovingly remembered as Pastor Jon of Parkview Church where he faithfully served for over thirty years.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Charlene, daughter Angela (Chris) and grandsons Caesar, Cyrus, and Cassius, daughter-in-law Amber and grandson Carter, and son Jason (Joy) and grandson Gabriel.

Our collective hearts are broken with the loss of a man whose heart was the size of Hamilton. Thank you to the kind and helpful ER and ICU staff at Juravinski Hospital. Join us in celebrating his life and legacy.
